28th June 2023 Munich – Grand Capital of Bavaria

I thought this would be the highlight of the holiday, and whilst I wasn’t disappointed, I rarely get the most out of large cities.

We arrived in time to see the glockenspiel play at the New Town Hall. Worth seeing but it did go on a bit! The square was very busy though.

On to the Frauenkirche and up to the gardens of the Residenz. This was lovely an peaceful, thank goodness.

To keep away from the crows, I dragged Laurie up to the museum quarter, no time to visit the collections but nice architecture.

Back down to the centre and a walk along both banks of the river.

A nice day but exhausting!
