After a busy start to the holiday, today brought a much needed rest and time to investigate our base town of Langenau.
After a brief walk around the town (admiring the nesting storks), we made our way through the park bursting with wildlife.
Along the river were coots, mallards and our very first beaver! What a surprise!
Over the main road we found a path which led out into the country, along the side of allotments.
A wonderful day to enjoy Germany!
