14th March 2023 Caernarfon – What a Castle!

Out first stop on today’s visits.

I’ve long wanted to visit Caernarfon. It’s enormous castle is legendary and it didn’t disappoint.

On arrival, the sun was still shining. We headed straight off to the castle. The castle is in the care of Cadw, the Welsh version of English Heritage. As we had our cards with us, we got in free, with a complimentary guid book to boot. You don’t get that in England.

The castle is vast, and we could have spent many hours here, but time was pressing so it was only a short visit.

After we had a walk around the town, a noice place but very quiet.

By the time we left, the rain clouds were gathering heralding a very wet afternoon ahead!

The this part of today’s visits can be found here.
