Our Welsh holiday begins.
We arrived at tea-time yesterday, and although we had a short walk after dinner, we were looking forward to seeing Criccieth in the daylight.
Todays trip is to Caernarfon and the slate mining museum, but with a poor weather forecast from midday onwards and for the rest of the week, after breakfast we went on a look around the town on the morning sunshine.
Criccieth is famous for its castle (closed until Friday unfortunately, when we go home) but there is plenary more here. The seafront is beautiful and we loved the Welsh cottages. The locals were really friendly too.
