After Caernarfon we climbed up onto the mountains of snowdonia as the snow clouds gathered.
On the way to the National Slate Museum, we passed the Dinorwig Power Station, also known as “Electric Mountain”, which I remember from an electric board advert in the 80s. You can watch about it here: https://youtu.be/d-Gbs_kXK8Q
The National Slate Museum was very educational, sort of a Beamish for the slate industry. The photographs are pretty much self explanatory.
It started to snow so we took refuge in the railway station cafe. Loved that all the staff were speaking Welsh.
