1st August 2021 Wylam – Only Foals & Horses

Not too warm or bright today. We headed up to Wylam to see what was new. There’s always something to see there.

On the Tyne at the bridge were a couple of herons and a cormorant trying to swallow the most enormous fish (they were too far away for good photography).

Apart for a couple of fly fishers, there was little activity on the Tyne (no sign of the seal) and we didn’t see many birds at all.

The highlight was the return of the horses with a few foals in tow. Lovely to see them back and seeing young animals is always a joy.
