An old steam crane from Manchester was due to come into the Tyne at 11am from it’s anchorage outside the harbour.
After walking to Tynemouth to see if there was any movement, I eventually gave up and cam back home and kept checking the shipping positions. As soon as it started to come through the piers I went back out to catch it as it passed the fish quay on it’s way to Swans.
