27th July 2021 North Shields – A Walk with Sylvia

We hadn’t seen Sylvia for 3 years (a friend from our years in Spain) so it was lovely for her to visit our neck of the woods and show her around our home.

The usual walk along the fish quay and the Tyne. In Northumberland Park the moorhens were with their new brood of chicks, and the one survivor from the last brood hasn’t yet flow the nest (but is being increasingly less tolerated by the adults).

Some lovely summer flowers in blood, and on Tynemouth Road a glimpse of the past, an old tiled sign revealed during renovation.
