Our first stop on the Romantic Road.
Rothenburg is a very traditional looking Bavarian town, one of very few that survive with the medieval town walls intact.
The town is familiar for it’s inclusion in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but some thing shave changed since those times, and I think a few props were added.
We walked along the walkway which are in place for about half the circuit then descended to cover the rest at ground level.
There were some fantastic views from the gardens of the old castle, and we enjoyed a walk thought the busy streets of the town.
