30th August 2020 South Shields – A Soggy Bank Holiday

Well, as if we haven’t had a bad enough summer, the last bank holiday before Christmas brought driving rain and low temperatures.

Adamant that it wasn’t going to spoil our day, we set off for the ferry across the Tyne to South Shields. We walked along the Tyne on the South Side to he beach and the funfair. By this time the drizzle had turned into rain and the wind was driving it horizontally! Lunch in the park in between showers then off the museum to take cover.

I’m glad we went in. There was a retrospective on local artist and animator Sheila Graber. More information on the exhibition here. Also the animations are available on YouTube here.

Didn’t take the SLR with me so all images from the iPhone
