30th May 2021 Wylam – The Swarm

Another lovely day to visit Wylam.

This time there was a big surprise. Just after the bridge on the riverside walk, a swarm of honey bees had settles in a gorse bush. It was quire a sight, thousands of bees clinging on in a massive cone. Maybe they had left a domestic hive somewhere, or maybe they were wild. Whichever, it was amazing to see nature at its most impressive.
