A walk along the tyne for lunch at Tynemouth.

We walked along the quay, spotting the usual sights along the river Tyne, specially the boats and birds. At the mouth of the river, a tug was towing wind turbine legs, manufactured at a local Tyneside (ex) shipyard.

Tynemouth Priory was quiet, and we had lunch overlooking the coast and Prior’s Haven.

From the site we could see the busy beach below, and captured a lifeguard putting out his flag.
