We were to go to Fort William today but as there were so few people on the coach today, they weren’t able to run the optional excursions to Glenfinnan, etc. As we weren’t that bothered with Fort William, we decided to stay in Arrochar and explore.
After a walk along Loch Long, we picked up the Three Lochs Way.
We bumped into a local, who advised us that the souther route would likely take all day, so we headed north instead.
The trail led up into the mountains before levelling off and heading towards Tarbet.
On reaching Tarbet, we paused on the banks of Loch Lomond before returning to Arrochar via the main road.
A very enjoyable walk in the Scottish highlands, a fist for us.
