We’d booked up for the National Trust tale “Walking the Line” via Norma at Cherryburn.
The walk followed the early railways in Wylam built by the pioneering engineers like Stephenson and Hackworth.
Norma and Violet gave a very interesting talk, and the tour included a visit the the small museum in the library and an exclusive visit to Stephenson’s Birthplace.
A thoroughly enjoyable day!
