Off to Wylam today.
On the path towards Prudhoe, we came across some pretty stunning bracket fungi, not everyone’s cup of tea, but for those that like the prettier flora, there were some fantastic colourful poppies on display.
On the way back, a stoat ran out onto the path in front of us. A rare sight indeed.
The horses were out enjoying a feed, and it was lovely to see the foal flourishing, keeping close to mum.
As we crossed the bridge, we spotted the seal which had a pretty obvious bad eye injury. I did contact the deal sanctuary, but as it was still mobile in the water, there was nothing they could do. Hopefully it will heal.
