An impromptu day of work. As Cherryburn is only open Thursday and Friday, we used the opportunity to pay Bewick’s birthplace a visit.
As we were early for out booked slot, we popped to Wylam for a walk along the Tyne. It’s amazing how much the vegetation has grown and it’s now quite difficult to spot the birds in the trees.
Cherryburn was a delight as usual. Enjoyed a catch-up with Norma the guide and Jordan the gardener. The gardens are looking amazing, and the bees were certainly making the best of the abundance of nectar-rich plants in the borders.
