Oil painting on canvas, Probably Sir Edward Blackett, 2nd Bt (1651/2 – 1718) by John Closterman (Osnabrück 1660 – London 1711) and John Riley (London 1646 – London 1691), inscribed 18th century, with name of ‘first Sir William’, top right: Sr : WILLIAM BLACKETT. Bart.:/Created. Dec.12.1673.?obt May. 16. 1680. A three-quarter-length, portrait, profile to left, gazing at the spectator, in armour, his hand resting with his helmet on a stone plinth.
