‘Shifting Tides’ by Fiona Gray
This sculpture is installed in relation to the Swan Quay development. Inspird by the nautical maps and instruments produced by Lilliey & Gillie, it features a nautical motif and shows the shape of the Fish Quay. Made in Corten, it has robust properties and an empathetic feel to its surroundings. Domed rivets give an industrial feel, whilst the latitude and longitude co-ordinates are essential when plotting joumeys at sea. Here they mark the global position of Swan Quay.
