Emus are only found in one country today; Australia! They inhabit a variety of different habitats such as savannahs, grasslands and dry forests.

This large bird is an omnivore and eats seeds, flowers, fruits and small invertebrates.

Conservation

Today the emu is widespread across Australia and is not recognised as an endangered species at this time.
