Mantel Clock

Mantel Clock second half eighteenth century. DENIÈRE BRONZE FACTORY (C. 1797-1903). Dining Room, Osborne, Isle of Wight

A mantel clock of black slate, bronze and gilt bronze with a striking movement; a tall pedimented portico case with projecting pilasters and cornice, on stepped base; between pilasters seated figure of bearded man and male and female amorini.

Given to Queen Victoria by the Prince Consort, 24 May 1846.
