Mary’s Shell, a sculpture on the beach at Cleveleys, Lancashire, England
The sculpture is part of the Mythic Coast art trail, which is based on the children’s storybook The Sea Swallow.
Created by artist Stephen Broadbent, the sculpture was installed in 2013.
It is a large metal sculpture that is 8 meters long, 3 meters tall, and weighs 17 tonnes.
When the tide is low, visitors can walk inside the sculpture and see inscriptions with extracts from The Sea Swallow.
