The usual North Shields/Tynemouth circuit today.
A bright but windy day. The meadow near Tynemouth station was in full bloom, a riot of colours. The bees were busy taking advantage of abundant nectar.
The skies were busy today. At the Spanish Battery the gulls were enjoying soaring agains the wind, staying still long enough to get some decent pictures. As well as the gulls, there were plenty of planes, this time heading for Newcastle airport.
On the fish quay, the flags were out ready for the RNLI Day next week.
