A lovely walk in Wylam today. On the Tyne the heron was on usual fishing duties. While walking through the woods we came across a fungus we haven’t seen before, Jing Alfred’s Cakes. A hard round fungus with concentric rings when broken open. Fascinating.
Lots of snowdrops out at the moment, reminding us that spring will soon be here.
A few robins made an appearance today, and one was happy to sit on a branch next to us, and have a good sing whilst I took its portrait.
A lovely day in our happy place.
