26th October 2021 North Shields – Dramatic Skies & Gulls

The only chance there will be this week for a walk after work as the weather forecast is not good at all,

On the Fish Quay, there were hundreds (may be an exaggeration) of herring gulls on the roofs of the sheds. Maybe they were catching the warmth from the sun which kept peeking through the clouds? I don’t know.

After a walk through Northumberland Park, as we walked back down to the Tyne there were some beautiful skies, and the gulls in flight made it quite magical. As then sun made an appearance, out home was lit up in golden sunshine. I lone seeing this.

A fishing boat was making its way back to the quay, and in the gut dozens of gull were having a feeding frenzy.
