10th October 2012 Wylam – Robins & Long-tailed Tits

My idea to come to Wylam this time. There’s something about this place when it’s a bright day. The wildlife, the river, the flowers. Everything.

Along the river long-tailed tits were flitting between the trees, and towards the allotments a robin was happily sitting singing, it wasn’t afraid of us at all.

From the railway bridge, we saw a goosander diving for fish. It’s the first time we’ve seen this beautiful bird.

The leaves on the trees are turning their autumn colours and the flowers are in their last bloom. Autumn is truly here and a new season of discoveries begins.
