A short while ago there was a fire at the ruined Tyne Brand factory. On my walk to day I went to take a look. One of the reasons I photograph these places is that they form a social history of the town, and once they are gone, they are gone! Search for Tyne Brand on my site and you will see the damage that has been done by the fire.
After the walk along the Tyne, I popped through Northumberland Park. On the island the moorhen chicks were enjoying the sun, and in the pond the mallard ducks were enjoying diving, washing and flapping their wings.
