14th June 2021 Wylam – Spring Flowers Galore

Another visit to Wylam. On this visit, there was plenty activity on the river with grey herons making an appearance. One was fishing form the weir whilst others were setting themselves up on the rocks.

The bees which were swarmed on the gorse bush (here) have now moved into the bushes.

On the pond there was a family of ducks and ducklings. This is the first time I have seen them here, they maybe spend much time hiding in the reed beds.

There was plenty of colour with lots of spring flowers, adding that ever welcome touch of spring colour.
