26th February 2021 North Shields – One-legged Gulls & a Touch of Spring

View all photography for this entry

Another beautiful day on North Tyneside.

On the Fish Quay, a one-legged herring gull was with it’s juvenile. It was managing to balance just fine, and I expect it manages given the abundance of food in the area. In the gut cormorants were fishing with gulls looking to steal what they could.

In Northumberland Park the crocuses were in bloom, heralding the fast-approaching spring.
