2nd November 2020 – A country park walk with ducks & coos

After damaging my back I haven’t been out of the house much lately. With our holidays cancelled due to COVID-19 and plenty of painkillers on board, we decided to make the most of the last few days before lockdown part 2.

Druridge Bay Country Park is normally busy with families, but being a Monday, and not the best weather, it was nice and quiet.

The ducks were out in force as usual, and my favourite white duck made an appearance. There were also plenty of swans, moorhens and black-headed gulls.

When we got to the field where the highland cattle were last time, I was disappointed to see it empty. Luckily, they had just been moved into another field so we got to say hello to them once again. There was a bull, cow and two calves, along with another cow with a light coloured coat.

Autumn is truly here, and the leaves on the trees were in shades of brown and gold, with red berries shining like little gems. A magical visit.
