I wrote in the last diary entry for Beamish that the weather is always awful when we visit. Well, for the second time in a row the weather was glorious.
The museum was much quieter this time, as the schools have returned and I assume there are more important things for them to concentrate on rather than visits to Beamish.
Some of the transport is now running, but alas, not yet the trams.
A robin decided to join us for lunch (I didn’t have the telephoto lens on of course) and a couple of cockerels put on a good show.
I managed to get some nice shots of 1931, Ruston Bucyrus 25-RB, 125 ton, Steam Powered Excavator, a real monster (normally with children clambering over it).
Work appears to have halted on the new 1950’s village. Maybe something to do with this sad news.
